FIJI,

I check in here every day and wonder WHY no one posts?

I have posted my share of posts and cannot understand why everyone has dropped off?

The Bottom Line IS: Post or this Site becomes a Ghost Town. Maybe it already is!

Adam

wrenchman,

Point well taken, BUT at this moment the Board Stats says there are 27 Members and 655 guests on this site. I think that is GOOD.

What are the 27 Members thinking and I ask will they Post Something? It is Deer Season and nobody has a gun, sight-in or ammo issue? IF SO, why not Post it here for our Collective Smarts?

After Graduate School, at my first teaching job I was Sagely advised to "Publish or Perish" in my first year on the job. I wrote about a history event that saw print, so my job was safe for another year.

To the CURRENT 27 Members, let me advise you to: "Publish or see this site Perish."

Adam

Adam, I'm afraid those numbers about members and guests on the board are bogus - I believe they are bots rather than real people. Every bulletin board I know of shows similar inflated numbers.
"The times they are a'changin' "
My guess is that Facebook has put a crimp in bulletin board participation, just like Facebook pretty much killed chat rooms.
In both BB's and chat rooms, a sense of community develops, and people went to the BB's or chats to catch up with their friends, as much as they did to seek information. Now that function is fulfilled by Facebook.

I usually check in daily, but generally don't have much to say.

I have found many of the forums I visit have low numbers, one of my favorites shut down this year due to low numbers as well.

First deer of season.

I got my first deer of the season. Nice Doe. Should have seen what it did to the front end of my car, What a mess. Anyway have been out a few time and seen little. No rut activity. Very little movement even tho I have pix's on game cam. Been warm warm warm. Will keep at it.

Deer is in here. Elk also. I have a second elk tag. Used a handgun on the first(41mag). Cow/calf tags. Can't draw a bull tag.... or moose. Had a Wolfie in the yard a week ago. But I never seem to have an appropriate caliber in hand when I see them. Only gun handy was a Redhawk 45Colt that was still loaded with shot cartridges. Missed a coyote not too long ago. About 35 yards with my three inch 45 auto. Shot just over top of him
