"Old Army Guns?"

I am amazed how little most folks know about identifying firearms. I am a serious collector of old guns from the Civil War to WWII. My neighbors are aware of my expertise. I have assisted attorneys in appraisals of gun collections involved in various legal matters in the past.

At church today a young lad asked me to help him identify guns his recently deceased granddad left behind. Well, he asked the right guy, as a fellow Christian, I will not let him be robbed due to his lack of understanding. I was stunned by the volume of nicely preserved military surplus arms I saw. As a fellow veteran, I was impressed with the care bestowed on the huge collection the next of kin had no understanding of what was left behind.

I have scheduled the next two days to inventory and appraise a rare find. Yes, the very best military surplus arms have disappeared into private collections in the past and now the owners are passing on.

I am happy in my work. My compensation is my selection of whatever pieces I want up to a dozen items.
